Earn a Minor in Information Technology

The best and the brightest of today's students in all fields will find that completing an Information Technology minor will enhance their degree and will become more effective in their primary field of study. Adding a minor in information technology also helps you build the skills you need to be productive in a world of ubiquitous information and technology.

Requirements for a minor in Information Technology

Obtaining a minor in Information Technology requires completing at least twelve (12) credit hours that includes at least four (4) of the following six (6) courses:

  1. LIS 3021 Technical Communication for the Information Professional
  2. LIS 3201 Research and Data Analysis for Information Professionals
  3. LIS 3267 Information Studies
  4. LIS 3353 Technologies for Information Services
  5. LIS 3706 Information Systems and Services
  6. LIS 3784 Information Organization and Communication
