The School of Library & Information Studies offers many courses online for the convenience of our students. All students can take these courses, whether they are on-campus or at a distance.

Online Degrees: You can pursue a degree completely online and you can do it either full time or part time. For specific information about the online degrees available:

Work and Home: You will probably find – as many of our students find – that online courses can help increase your flexibility when you are trying to manage the demanding responsibilities of work and home. Over the course of a term, the time you save not driving to campus and looking for a parking space can add up to a welcome savings when your schedule is hectic.

International Connections: From Guam to Switzerland, students have joined our program from around the world. Online courses provide an exciting opportunity to learn with students around the world and to build a broader network of connections.

Technology: Learn It and Use It

Courses are delivered on the World Wide Web over the Internet. Students in our programs use technology as they learn about it and then utilize those skills to improve the quality of their life and work. If you are wondering what sort of technology you will need to have, please see our description of hardware and software requirements.
