How to…
Renew Items
You can renew your library materials up to 3 times either in person or online on your own. The link, “Renew Books” is located on the left side of this screen, under the “FSU Libraries Catalog” search box. The University Libraries page also has a hyperlink “RENEWALS” just below their search term box.
These links will take you to a page where you are prompted to enter your library ID and password.
The next screen will display several options. choose “Loans” to see the list of items you have checked out. In front of each item you will see a “Renew” button that you use to renew a single item or use a button “renew all” to renew all your items.
Pay Overdue Fines
Goldstein does not accept payment for overdue fines. To pay your fines, you can go to the Cashier’s Office at the University Center in Building A, or pay them online. To pay online:
- Access your Student Secure Information Menu
- Go to campus.fsu.edu
- Enter your FSU username and password
- Click the “Secure Apps” tab located on the top right-hand side of the page.
- Click the link “Make a payment” and see the fee posted there.
“Request” an item or “Place on Hold”
When you locate an item in the online catalog and see that the libraries have only one copy of it and it is checked out you can “Request” or “Place a Hold” on it. The record of that item will display its due date next to the call number and also a note “Place a Hold” next to it; click on the link.
You will be prompted to enter your library card number. The number is 14 digits starting with 206XX located at the bottom of your FSU ID card.
You will also have to enter your password. The default will be 4 digits: birth month/day e.g. 0915 for September 15 until you change it on YOUR LIBRARY ACCOUNT PAGE
