Renewals

Patrons can renew their library materials online and in person. To renew online, you will need to use your Library ID number (in white on your FSU ID starting 206XXX) and password. Items that have been recalled or reached the renewal limit cannot be renewed online and you should return them to the library.

Inter-Library Loan

SPECIAL NOTES FOR DISTANCE STUDENTS:

  • You may request materials from any FSU library using ILL. The loan period is based on your student status and you may renew the materials 3 times online.
  • You may request non-FSU library materials. The loan period is determined by the lending library. The lending library determines renewals.
  • When you establish your ILLIAD account, select the following options so you get your ILL transactions faster and correctly:
    • EMAIL ADDRESS: Enter your FSU email or you will not receive electronic documents
    • MAILING ADDRESS/CITY/STATE: Keep this current yourself. The ILLIAD software is not updated by the FSU registrar’s system. Interlibrary loans are sent to the address you list in ILLIAD. If you have an incorrect address you are required to pay replacement cost for lost or miss-mailed materials.
    • STATUS: Distance Learner. This tells ILL that you are not on campus. Your requests will not be returned when the item shows AVAILABLE in the online catalog.
