Accreditation
The master's program in information studies is accredited by the American Library Association (ALA). The School is also a member of the Association for Library and Information Studies Education (ALISE). The School was authorized in 1968 to offer the doctor of philosophy degree in library and information studies, and in January 1969 to offer the advanced master degree.
